Peace House is excited to host Sarah Caligiuri, of the Yomba Shoshone Tribe and founder of the HEALR Project, who is starting a school on her traditional homelands of Noowuh Segobia (Central Nevada (and beyond)). She will be presenting on the background of her people, the reservation, and the current state of the Yomba Micro School.

Join us on Friday, September 11th at noon to learn ways to follow along and support this Indigenous-led project that directly supports tribal sovereignty and the future of the Yomba Shoshone people.

Some of you had the chance to hear Sarah at the annual Hiroshima Vigil on August 6th, where she spoke powerfully about the impacts of militarism and nuclear weapons on the land in what we now call Nevada. If you missed it, you can find her remarks on our site.
